Sean directs Swan’s product distribution, business development and marketing. He is also the primary contact for institutional clients including large RIA’s, endowments, family offices, pension funds, and TAMPs.
Prior to joining Swan, Sean worked for Clarus Capital Partners, a hedge fund, where he supervised the raising of capital and investor relations. He also spent three years with Merrill Lynch as a financial investment advisor, managing client resources. As the director of corporate development for a water, energy and biomass development company called the Aquifer Group, Sean spearheaded tactical and strategic business plans, evaluated biomass conversion technologies, and assisted in early stage funding.
Sean honed his operational and management skills in leadership positions at Qwest, SBC Communications (AT&T), and Commonwealth Telephone Services. At Qwest, he supervised a 900-person division with an annual budget of $70 million, which was responsible for designing, installing, and maintaining all high-speed data lines in the northwestern United States. Sean also worked within Andersen Consulting’s telecom practice and was instrumental in a range of initiatives including the development of large-scale call centers from inception through to full operations.
After receiving a B.S. in industrial engineering from Texas A&M University, Sean earned an M.B.A. in business administration from St. Edward’s University.
Sean has been involved with nonprofits throughout his entire career, serving United Way, Junior Achievement, and Meals on Wheels.
